Structurally, Abort73.com exists in the form of an outline to help keep its rather large body of information sufficiently organized. At the top of each page, you will find a menu that links to the eight main Abort73 categories (Roman Numerals I-VIII). As you roll over each category title, an orange button indicates which category is being selected. The orange button which displays when you are not interacting with the menu indicates the section that you are currently in.

Each of the 8 main categories has its own sub-menu which is displayed along the left side of the web page. These links will change depending on which category you are in.

Below the main menu, and to the right of the sub-menu, you will find the page title and relative location. In this case the title is "How to Navigate" and the relative location is:

VI. Navigation / C. How to Navigate

This allows you to quickly see where in the overall website your particular page resides. To see the Abort73 outline in its entirety, visit the Website Outline. This will give you the big picture.

Beyond the organizational advantages that an outline provides, it also gives visitors a very clear and straightforward path for navigating the Abort73 website. You certainly aren't bound to visit pages in the order in which they're laid out, but that option is available for those who are new to the issue and aren't sure where to start. On all the main category pages, you will find a brief video that overviews the information presented. When the video concludes, you can continue to the next section or read through the content pages for the section you're already in. At the bottom of each content page you will find the option to either continue to the next page, or continue to the next section. Content pages that have nested sub-pages also give you the option of exploring the current topic at greater depth by continuing to the related sub-points. In this fashion, you can literally get through every single page on the Abort73 website, or every single section, by simply using the "Continue" options found on each page.

For those want to save or print what they've read, PDF versions are available and ideal for printing. (Visitors downloading PDF pages must have a copy of the Adobe Reader, or be blessed enough to be on a Mac. The Adobe Reader is a free download from Adobe.) Sharing individual web pages with friends is easy since every page has an "Email Page to a Friend" option which sends a link from whatever page you're on. Giving us feedback is also quick and easy with a page-specific email link built into each page ("Comment of What You've Read). A link to the website outline is available on each page as well as a collection of related links and, often, a suggestion for further study on a given topic. All of these common features can be found in the 2 grey boxes both to the right of and below the main text.

Finally, whenever Abort73 references a person, place or thing for which more information may be helpful, there will be a direct link attached to the appropriate text (like you see on this page). All links to external pages will open in a new window. To return to Abort73 after visiting an external link, simply close the window of the linked page you were viewing.

All in all, Abort73 has been designed to effectively and efficiently communicate a great deal of information about the injustice of abortion, both to those who only have a few minutes and to those who want to research at a much deeper level. If anything about our layout or navigation is still unclear, please let us know.

Thanks!
