Fast and Pray for Abort73

There have been a few key points in my life where I've needed to enter into a time of focused fasting and prayer, the first time when left the secular work force for full-time, pro-life ministry and more recently at the close of 2006.Now, I find myself at that same point of healthy desperation. In my last email update, I shared of our growing financial needs and our shrinking cash reserve. Since then, an additional $2,079.50 has come in, but that still leaves us more than $6,000 short of our budgeted expenses for August ($8,927). Starting next month, with the arrival of a new and much needed Abort73 staff-person, our monthly expenses go up to $12,607. From a worldly perspective things look bleak. If we can only raise a quarter of what we need for this month, how will we ever raise the additional funds needed for next month? It is time, again, to call upon the Lord. Our email list recently grew past 5,000 subscribers. We've got a few thousand more "friends" on MySpace. If those thousands of people will only pray for Abort73 in these coming weeks, I'll feel a whole lot better about our financial future. Last week I asked you to give; this week I'm only asking you to fast and pray. Pray that the funds we need will be there when we need them. Pray that we'd make wise decisions with the funds we do have, and pray that September's new marketing efforts will reap huge returns.
