Abort73 would like to set up partnerships, all over the country with existing, campus pro-life groups. And here's why such unions are so strategic. Abort73 has a provocative and informative website that is changing minds about abortion, but it needs a bigger audience. Pro-life campus groups have a huge university audience, but they need more effective and manageable ways to reach that audience. Working together, both problems can be solved.
The Abort73 Ministry Packs are available in a variety of sizes, each of which includes an assortment of pens, shirts, and DVDs. The foundation of the new Ministry Packs are the Abort73 pens. In each pack there will be 1 shirt and 10 DVDs for every 100 pens. Why so many pens? Here's the thinking. Every time a group, pro-life or otherwise, does a literature distribution on campus, probably 90% of the cards or leaflets they hand out wind up almost immediately in the trash, and many students don't even take their literature in the first place. That's not a very good return on investment. But just about everybody can use a pen, right? A much higher percentage will take them in the first place, and a much higher percentage will keep them, use them, or pass them on. A pen can have a long and varied life on a college campus, and that very much works in our favor. We're proposing that pro-life groups, upon receiving their Ministry Packs, put on the shirts and grab the Abort73 pens and DVDs for a campus distribution. At a table in the student union or outside where students gather, start handing out pens to all who pass by. For those who stop to inquire for more information, offer them a DVD and tell them what you're there for. Even those who don't stop will take the website with them, and if they start using an Abort73 pen, it probably won't be long before their curiosity gets the best of them and they visit the site. The ambiguity of the name plays right into our hands. By engaging in pen and DVD distributions at various campus locations each month, and wearing Abort73 shirts during the weeks in between, it is very feasible for even a small group to have a big campus impact. And it can all be done with a relatively small membership and a comparatively low price. Think about it. Can you come up with a more efficient way to get large numbers of students to Abort73.com where they'll be comprehensively educated about abortion? If so, we'd like to know what it is. If not, then how about joining us?
If you or someone you know is a pro-life, college student, help us spread the word about this exciting new resource. If you're in a college pro-life group already, great. If your school doesn't have one, why not start one? And finally, why limit this to college students? Though student groups are not generally as active on high school campuses, they do exist, and much the same kind of distributions could probably take place on or around most high schools. God has placed each of us within a unique sphere of influence for a limited amount of time. For students, each semester brings you new opportunities to reach classmates that you may never have contact with again, so make the most of the opportunities at hand. You can have a great influence for truth and love on your high school or college campus, and we'd love to help!
