Abortion Story: Kenya

Submitted to Abort73 by a 20-year-old woman on November 29, 2014.

I am 20-years-old. I found out I was pregnant and informed my ex-boyfriend hoping he would be happy to become a dad. Instead, he insulted me and told me to get rid of the baby. I was so shocked and didn’t want to kill my unborn child. After a few days, I discovered that he had abandoned his wife and two children and is now a husband to another woman—which pushed me to terminate my pregnancy. I can still remember how I walked into that clinic very confused. After 10 minutes, the doctor poisoned the baby, and I could not feel it anymore. One day after the abortion, I started regretting, crying, hoping and wishing that I could change back time and keep my baby. Sometimes I even think of killing myself so I can be with my baby, but something stops me—hoping that God will forgive me and I will be able to forgive myself.
